ABOUT US
Appalachian Death Care and Grief Tending is a collaboration between Midsouth Women's Herbal and several community partners.
MISSION
We believe that the outsourcing of death care, funerals, and grief support has taken something precious from us and we want to empower each other to reclaim these roles in our family and
community. Through education, community events, and bold discussions, we aim to destigmatize talking about death, return to customs that are kinder to the planet, and find alternatives to the commercial and capitalistic funeral industry.
ABOUT Midsouth Women's Herbal
MSWHC offers opportunities for sharing herbal education and traditional wisdom, cultivating relationships with plants and nature, and co-creating a supportive holistic network. We are rooted in community and united by a shared vision of nature-centered wholeness and healthy self-reliance. We host an annual women's herbal conference as well as community workshops throughout the year.
